Have you ever
started one little project that somehow explodes into a much bigger
project? Well that’s what happened to
our home remodel. We were just going to
remove the popcorn ceilings, paint all the walls, and replace the bedroom
carpets. However, after two different renters, it needed a little more help. So, we ended up redoing virtually
everything except replacing the tile floors in the remainder of the house. Every interior surface of the house was repainted. Newly textured ceilings (previously popcorn) required three coats of paint!

Vast amounts of paint were used. |

At Xmas we treated ourselves to a matching SS Refrigerator |
It’s
like an entirely different house and I have to say we love it! I also have to say it was two long exhausting
months. All we did, day after day, was
get up, drive to the house, work on the house until dark (without our household
lamps, there were only lights in the bathrooms and kitchen), drive back to “the
5th”, eat dinner (and have a glass of wine), and go to bed. Then start all over the next day. After 18 months of vacationing “on the road”,
this was really, really hard…but worth it.
