NYC-who would have thought I would like it so much?

NYC from Lady Liberty boat (Oct 2013)

I LOVE New York City!  I don’t know what it is:  the bridges, the lights, the skyscrapers,

the history, seeing it with friends, the amazing vibrancy……..probably all of the above! In three days, we managed to see everything we wanted to:  we walked, rode a Double Decker bus around the city, took a gypsy cab ride, rode the subway (and accidentally ended up in Brooklyn when we thought we were going to Battery Park), saw the Statue of Liberty (on the 1st day it reopened after NY state decided to pay the US government to reopen it when the federal government was shut down),

went to the top of the Empire State Building at twilight,

walked Times Square in the day and the night, ate great food,

you name it, we did it………it was fantastic!  We stayed in a cute, funky hotel a couple of blocks south of Central Park and other than when we first arrived, the weather was beautiful.  We really couldn't have asked for anything more.

Of course, NYC is a great shopping mecca and you all know how much I LOVE to shop.  Can you guess the one store I actually went into?
You got it!
And, can you guess the only person I bought something for?
Right again!
