We continue to give Pennsylvania another chance

How old do you think this tree is?

We knew the week with Connie and Addison would be fun; but also tiring, so we always planned to spend another week in Pennsylvania (which was good since at this time, our jack was still stuck and needed fixing).   We pretty much spent the week goofing off (that’s what retired people do, you know).

Elaine's direct ancestor. Minister.  Soldier in Revolution.
We searched out and walked through old cemeteries (believe it or not, my war-like ancestors also founded, built, and were ministers in Baptist churches in the 1700’s, as well as donating land for cemeteries).

We had drinks in an Inn that was established in the same time period my ancestors lived there.

And….got the “5th” worked on (see earlier post).

During the time Connie and Addison were with us, Sara was asked to attend a work conference in Nashville, TN.  She contacted us about our itinerary, and we happily adjusted it to meet her there in November.  The weather was starting to get rainy and cold and our original schedule had us staying sort of northerly for another couple of weeks.  We thought Sara’s conference was a good excuse to head for a warmer more southerly route.
He loves his yellow ducky!
